GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard: a step-by-step methodology for companies to use to quantify and report their corporate GHG emissions. The standard was developed to help companies to prepare GHG emissions inventories, to simplify and reduce the costs of compiling a GHG inventory, to enable GHG inventories to meet the decision-making needs of both internal management and external stakeholders (e.g., investors), to provide businesses with information that can be used to build effective GHG management strategies, to increase consistency and transparency in GHG accounting and reporting among various companies and GHG programs.

GHG Protocol Product Accounting & Reporting Standard: a methodology to quantify and report the greenhouse gas emissions associated with individual products throughout their life cycle

GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard: is a step-by-step methodology for companies to quantify and report theircorporate value chain (scope 3) related GHG emissions, and is intended to be used in conjunction with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard

Since the launch of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard in 2001 and its revision in 2004, business capabilities and needs in the field of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting have grownsignificantly. Corporate leaders are now adept at calculating emissions from GHG sources that they own or control (i.e. scope 1 emissions) and emissions from the use of purchased energy (i.e., scope 2 emissions).

GHG Protocol Agriculture Protocol: has the objectives to establish rigorous, consensus-based and internationally-relevant methods for developing corporate inventories and help support and catalyze the use of corporate GHG inventories as the basis for measuring and managing agricultural emissions. The intended participants are agricultural producers and food processing and food product companies, GHG reporting programs and governmental and non-governmental initiatives seeking to develop tools or metrics for assessing the climate impact of farms.
